Alpine setup

Download the armv7 image.
Create a 16G FAT32 partition on the 128G SD card, mark as bootable.
Run the standard setup-alpine script, following the instructions on the wiki (which will also describe how to set up /home, etc, so you don't have to commit every time).
Any time you make a change to the system, remember to run lbu commit -d.

Installing Alpine on an RPi

Alpine Desktop on the Pi 4

Tasks:

Set up rust, go toolchains
Install i3, vim, emacs
Set up networking (DNS, overlay nets)

NOTE: I've concluded that Alpine (on the Pi 3B+ at least) isn't

tenable as a desktop solution; the diskless system takes up too

much memory to install much of use.

Notes:

On the 3B+, the touchscreen worked out of the box.
