Honestly the worst part about those popups on the mobile site is the fact that they don't even open the post in the damn app. They take you straight to the frickin' _app store_! It's such awful design and utterly infuriating.

If you consume reddit on a read-only basis, projects like libreddit and teddit are great alternatives to consider. I have completely switched to libreddit two months ago and I am happy with the decision:
