Wow, it's been a month since my last entry in that gemlog. So here's a
few updates on what's going on in my world.
"IRL" In Real Life is one of this first accronym I've learned back in the
end 90's when discovering IRC. I got to think about this since the last
5 weeks have been a bit challenging "IRL". Got me to realize that in
the end this gemini-space and pretty much everything I am doing online
is safe, easy, interesting with some cool people gravitating arround all
this when on the other end, the IRL stuff aren't that healthy,
interesting or easy. But that's life, right? Can't complain really, but
had a good reminder from close family members that a good health is the
only things that matter. And work wise, well, it's funny, I don't know
when it just became normal to work so much. Because there's more work to
be done that in can fit in 8 hours I just end up clocking 10+ hours a
day and still the todo list keep growing despite killing a huge amount
of work. So yeah, I got to reallign my own expectation and admit a few
things will just take time to complete. But hey, if you're reading that,
you're probably thinking "whatever man - gimme the good news".
So, good news, none... I haven't monitor much of the gemini stuff, need
to play catchup. I need to check if solene@ has pushed a new vger and if
that include fix on the various issues I had including cgi-bin support.
OpenBSD: got a couple of systems that are due for an update.
FreeBSD 13: got my main nas box @home upgraded - went smoothly. It is a
strange feeling that over the years I became only confident running the
openbsd sysupgrade tool compared to freebsd-update where I just kind of
"finger cross" and hope for the best. That's probably because I just
But yeah, days are getting nice outside, so the todolist of stuff to do
in the house is growing and that reduce the amount of time for geeking.
I guess the next update will be once I've got those cgi-bin sorted out.
Did I say no good news ? Well there's one, confirming the good people
who are active around here, thanks sloum@ for adding me to spacewalk! :)
