Wasn't really sure what to write about today, I'd been for my daily ride and not paid attention to anything particularly interesting, then just on 6pm there was some very loud birdsong from the back garden. Amazingly musical, a small flock of Pied currawongs[1] had landed in the Bay tree and were all calling to each other, then some of them came across to the plum tree and there was a bit of back and forth flapping and an amazing amount of calls. Son and I stood on the back step and watched and listened and as he said, “anyone would think we're in a rainforest somewhere.”
