The other wetlands today, Huntingdale wetlands and the bike path along Scotchmans creek through it. Loud honks and screeches from a few coot[1], endless Noisy miners[2] in the wattle trees. Up in the higher branches I can hear the Rainbow lorikeets[3] and a few Currawongs[4], but didn't get to see any of them. There are a few magpies[5] around, but thankfully none of them seem to be thinking about swooping yet, I suspect that if they're still there, the one that nests where the bikepath goes under Stephensons road will be the first to make itself known.
