Not feeling the best so today's outing was quite slow and leisurely. I rode down to Karkarook park and most of the way around the lake, detouring off at the southern end for a lap around the block on the gravel paths. After a few waterbirds around the lake, pigeons seemed to be the order of the day. There were dozens of seagulls[1] and a few black duck[2] paddling or standing around by the lack, a trio of Black swans[3] cruissing up and down feeding and the ubiquitous Noisy miners[4] shouting at me from the bushes, but further away from the lake I met one or two Crested pigeon[5] feeding alongside the path, numerous pairs of Spotted dove[6] either dust bathing or sheltering from down on the path, and a solitary Common bronzewing[7] perched on a fencepost
