2021/0306/1400 -- You Yangs

A half day stop at the You Yangs on the trip from Melbourne to the coast and the walk up Mount Flinders. I was suprised at the astounding number of people there, all the car parks full, all the walking trails very busy. Hadn't realised it was a "dog friendly" national park either, it seemed as though every second person had a dog with them.

So many people and dogs, not much wildlife to see. A few pieces of roo poo along the paths, a kookaburra[1] in a tree. We stopped at the lookout to admire the Bunjil geoglyph and looked up as right on cue a Wedge tail[2] flew past slowly around the hill. Up at the top saw a few big skinks come out of the cracks in the granite, but I've no idea what sort they were.
