A very urban ride today on a hot summery afternoon. Down to Waverley road and follow it to Malvern road, then up through the centre of Chapel street and nothing to see along the way but feral pigeons[1]. At least on the ride home I was following the river and then creek; first standout was a White-faced heron[2] standing on a weir, then Wood ducks[3] and Black ducks[4], strangely, lots more feral pigeons and finally, the creaking of a Yellow-tailed black cockatoo[5] being mobbed by Noisy miners[6]
