In my excitement to publish my PGP key, I realized that I might as well include the OMEMO fingerprints for my devices as well. After all, why shouldn't I include them?
They should probably go in my contact page somewhere, but for now I just featured them right on kwiecien.us so it's (part of) the first thing you see when you visit the capsule. I also probably should have included my Delta Chat QR code, but I guess I can save that for later... I think there was some debate about whether or not those are reusable, but I seem to remember that they are. That can go in the contact page probably.
Either way, OMEMO is a bit more important since I use it so much on my XMPP account. I have the three fingerprints in a text file in case your client requires that you eyeball it, but Conversations in particular loves to scan QR codes, and I have included that. This used to be featured on my old HTTP site, but it's a first for my Gemini capsule.
It's important to know that Conversations has no other way to verify OMEMO fingerprints other than scanning the QR code. Usually clients let you verify them yourself, but I guess the author(s) of Conversations deemed this much too important to trust to mere users. Therefore, if you want to get those green shields, you must scan the code. Do it now!
I know that people who use PGP are accustomed to publishing their public keys, but I think OMEMO users by and large neglect this aspect of OMEMO. I would encourage people to add this to their capsule so that we can do E2EE the right way. (Given the fact, that we probably can't meet each other in person!)
