I think a reasonable response to people saying that you could as wellmake a simple website is that it only solves one end of the problem:sure, if you want your website to be simple and strip off the regularcruft of the web, that's easy...but that doesn't help me much aconsumer. Your simple website is going to be one in a million. It'snot going to be my general experience while browsing the web thatwebsites are simple just because yours is.
As a webmaster, there's some comfort in knowing that at least myprivate island on the web is free from all the crap, but as a user Ionly wish that more websites were built to those standards, that Iknew of them and could easily find them.
