I spend a lot of my time around the tildeverse. You can find me:
on mastodon as @drskrzyk@tilde.zone
on my "mainstream" tilde http(s) home
I will leave my email out because of spam, but it you can figure it
out using both my tilde.team username and jabber ID.
There's a few reasons
I remember "growing up" with the the internet. I got my first copy of
SLS Linux when I was 19 off of a fidonet BBS, and then finding found a
local university that hadn't quite locked down their SLIP dialins. I
was surfing the net at a less than glorious 9600 baud. I won't lie, by
today's standards it sucked, but what didn't suck was that no
one had figured out how to turn you into a thing to be exploited online.
You are not a trend to be plotted, a source of data to be tracked and
manipulated. The web has been both blessing and curse for the
internet. The internet wasn't always some sort of digital hustle.
This is a chance for me to be simple and sincere.
