A late afternoon ride for Jo & I following a large lunch with family, once again down to Glen Iris wetlands before turning for home. Not a lot around today; the moorhens[1], willy wagtails[2] and peewees[3] making noise. Most striking was a White-faced heron[4] stalking around in the low late afternoon light, fishing in 1-2cm deep water by shaking one foot in the mud and spearing anything it disturbed. Standing still on the boardwalk we had it walk up to within a metre or so.
