2020/1104/1700 Wildlife — Glen Iris wetlands in the rain

What a change from yesterday! Then it was 31°C and I was getting sunburnt, today 11°C with a light misty rain falling. Nobody about and a quiet ride along Anniversary trail, Ferndale track and Gardiners creek trail to Glen Iris wetlands, then home.

Nothing much to see or hear in the wetlands; a few Spotted dove[1] walking around and fluttering back and forth and assorted water birds more heard than seen, then as I was leaving a flash of blue-green and a Sacred Kingfisher[2] darted past along the creek, stopping to perch above the path for half a minute and dissappeared off into the ti-tree.
