This, but with the caveat that I keep seeingpeople on this list indicating that they'reworking on a client that automagically displays any images linked as in-line images.

I haven't seen an actual example of this yet,but if it doesn't exist now (and pleasesomeone say something if it does andI missed a client announcement becauseit would be cool!), it probably will in not toolong. That would sorta be in line with whatOP is looking for, but crucially this isn'tsomething the server or the protocol isequipped to do, but rather some sugara client could use to simulate in-lining.
