The "capsule" idea was proposed earlier on (I forget by who, sorry!).  Ikind of like it, but I've come to think of it as a slightly more generalterm, like "gopherhole" - i.e. it doesn't actually imply regularupdates.

I asked the Gemlog I know how he felt about us using "gemlog" in thiscontext and he had no objections!
