# On gopher, lynx, and UTF-8 In his latest phlog[0], Ze Libertine Gamer explores rfc compliant gopher. Unicode support is mentioned. I just wanted to point out the behavior of lynx. Lynx does not display unicode when displaying a type 0 link, but if you press G and edit the URL, changing the type to 1 and unicode will display. This is handy knowledge when utilizing unicode on gopher because I would assume lynx is the most common client. if you use a different client how does it act? Can you see the proper unicode on [1]?
