Re: OSPF and BGP Learning.

Thanks to Matt:

I have found a copy of Radia's book "Interconnections (2nd ed)" And have been reading it over the last few weeks. It's covering a lot of things I do remember learning as an undergrad studying my Bachelor of Science, but it's been a great refresher and providing a lot of detail I missed back then! Have been mucking about further with OSPF and BGP with my play network, have managed to get myself confused, find the issues and rectify them many times! Lots of fun!

Contract secured

I've secured a 12 month contract at a federal government agency! It's in a 'cloud services' team and I'll be doing a lot more useful things with linux than I was at my previous role and is perhaps a better fit for my skills and experiences. I know, as a government department, there'll still be a fair share of office horribleness, but I think the tech here will at least override that.

68keys.io builds.

Well, I think I'm at the end of my keyboard building odyssey for now. I've got 4 68keys.io builds done:

It's a picture of 4 68keys.io keyboards lined up on a table,

* MaxKeys Dolch on Kaily Box White switches

* Alpherior Keys purple on Zealios v2 65g

* Alpherior Keys teal on Cherry MX Browns

* Alpherior Keys Abyssal on NovelKey Creams

I much prefer the Abyssal and Dolch cap sets, just much nicer ABS than the cheap PBT for the single colour runs. I can't decide between the NovelKey Creams and Zealios switches as my favourite. I really do like the high sharp tactility of the Zealios ones, but the cream linears are just so smooth!

I've built a bit of a wedge to get them at around a 7 degree angle, which has certainly improved the comfort of using them for an extended period, but it's still not quite as nice as my KBD75 kit case. Will have to investigate some form of CNC carving to get a nicer case made, my woodworking skills are rudimentary!

It has been a fun adventure, if a little more expensive than I probably should be spending on a new hobby. Hopefully I can sell at least one or two of them as I work out which is my favourite.
