This chutney is a great way to use up unripe tomatoes at the end of the season. It sweet with a little spice.

Stuff

500g Green Tomatoes, doesnt matter what sort.

500g Red Onion.

250g Muscavardo Sugar.

150g Sultanas.

2 Cloves of garlic.

500ml White Wine Vinegar.

2tsp Chilli flakes (more or less to prefered heat)

salt and pepper.

Do

Chop the tomatoes and red onion into chunks.

Put everything in a big pan and bring to the boil on a high heat.

Once boiling reduce heat and allow to simmer for about an hour keeping an eye on it and stiring occasionally. Chutney will turn browny red and sticky once ready.

Whiile still piping hot decant into hot sterile jars.
