2020/1025/1430 Near fizzled out

With much fanfare it started, then a second post, and then... nothing

No incentive to do anything, to write, to do much except sit inside and near hibernate and wait for time to pass.

Breakfast, coffee, lunch, a bike ride in the afternoon, cooking then dinner and maybe a whiskey before bed. There's a definite sameness to it all. Work & non-work days don't really differ that much. The daily challenges give me something to focus on; so far I've managed to go for a bike ride every day of the year -- 298 of 366 so far....

Note to self: Come on, get motivated, do something

Revisited. OK, we'll make a wildlife entry, probably urban, every day if we can, here goes.

Wildlife — waterbirds

Today a family trip to Caulfield park and a walk around looking at people, dogs and wildlife. Scary large flock of domestic geese -- or was it a flock of large scary geese -- in the lake and some "Aw, cute" goslings. A number of families of black duck[1] with ducklings too, started to annoy me how people only notice, like or care about the cute animals. Panda effect, only the cute ones get funding. A very noisy nest of White-faced herons[2] up in the kauri tree on the island in the lake.
