In [Project Gemini](

), there are even people who think this is how the web should be.
What fun! I guess https support is provided by the real browser since I don't think it was invented 30 years ago.
I tried it with the rclone website and it worked remarkably well. The hackernews website has the right colors and is readable if not laid out exactly how it looks in a modern browser. Google just about works (in German!), though the search popup is unexpected.
However I note the browser doesn't understand """ " " I wonder when that was standardized.
Amazing how much of those bits of the modern web are usable, if not beautiful.
I remember using this, though very briefly and more out of pure curiosity. It's weird to think that back then I felt http was a rather boring protocol, it was like reading a file only much much slower. Talk about lacking insight.
(2019), clearly.
