The slot sizes

Forget about weights. Clear your mind. This system replaces that with item slots of four different sizes. Tiny, small, medium, and big.

How to use this

1. List your strength, and ⅓ and ⅔ of it too.

2. Check your encumbrance budget. One check mark tells you three

3. things: your penalty (no penalty, just a little slower, or a lot

4. slower and disadvantage on all strength, dex and con rolls), your

5. current gear weight, and how many circles you can mark.

6. Mark that many circles. You've already paid for them with the check

7. mark, so just go ahead. The backpack costs a double circle, mark

8. both. Armor can cost 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 depending on type.

9. You can turn two medium slots into one small slot + one big slot by

10. filling in the symbol.

11. Fill in your gear in the slots that you've gotten by marking

12. circles.

That's it!

In pouches & sacks: 50 tiny ↔ 1 small, 250 tiny ↔ 1 medium, 450 tiny ↔ 1 big. Outside of "pouch space" it's one coin per slot. So... get pouches.

The rest should be self-evident so go play! Here is my list of item sizes and the most useful info; and here for an excessive amount of behind-the-scenes rambling & design intent.
