This is kind of a strange dystopia, with a 1984 vibe, but written 30 years earlier, and weirder.
Anyway, it's a society called the One State where privacy does not exist, under some kind of dictatorship. For example, building walls are transparent (I really liked this idea actually). Every human interaction has been reduced to its utility aspect. Everybody is called by a number. Even sexual intercourse is planned in advance through the system.
At some point, the main character falls in love, and has a peek outside the well oiled system that control everything.
I don't remember every detail, but it's a short book that's quite easy to read. It has some good ideas. I honestly did not find it amazing compared to other dystopias that have been written in the 100 years following its release. But again, it was written more than 100 years ago. Also, I assume it contains half-hidden critics to the Soviet Union. It was a good book overall.
