There's a new book out that I started reading by two #AI researchers who describe themselves as "cautiously optimistic" about AI. The book is "AI Snake Oil" by Arvind Narayanan and Sayash Kapoor. I started reading it and it seems well reasoned and not contaminated by AI hype. So far, I remain an AI pessimist however.
