Patron Saint of Boundless Patience
Goddess of the Great Still Pool
Give me perceptiveness to recognize ignorance.
Lend me the calm to respond each time as if it were the first.
Let me see "not knowing" as an opportunity to learn.
Let me never forget that I too can be ignorant.
Let me not forget to thank my teachers.
And to teach not smite, or scream or cry.
It's not that great of a prayer but it is a start I guess.

@futurebird St. Monica is the patron saint of finding patience. For a more oriental approach, bonsai is a great exercise.
