@coleoptera
There are many ants that can jump. Most famously Harpegnathos sp. however I suspect than many ants can jump but just do not do so often. I've seen sever species of Camponotus jump. Not as impressive as Harpegnathos but they used their back legs in the same way.
Anyway. Jumping ants are cannon.

@futurebird @coleoptera Myrmecia pilosula will jump and sting. They are notorious for it.

@futurebird @coleoptera wait. don't some species use their spring loaded JAWS to jump?

@futurebird @coleoptera I am cracking up at the idea of an ant petulantly going "I could jump, if I wanted. I simply choose not to."
