The collective noun for ants is "colony" which wasn't very exciting so I searched for other answers. I found an AI generated article which suggested "nest" "swarm" and...
"bike"
A bike of ants?
What hath the garbage machine hallucinated now? ... thing is... I kinda like it.
Like if you had enough ants you'd have a larger and more useful machine. A bike of ants invaded my kitchen! The peddled away with everything!

@futurebird Why not hill? For applicable species, of course.

@futurebird i would use ”hive”.
A hive of ants is the collective being.

Most of the "collective nouns" for groups of animals are just made up by silly 19th century list makers from what I can tell. So if I want to talk about bikes of ants... no one can stop me.
