@dalias @futurebird @VaylLarkinPoet This statement is reminding me of my college student co-op days. For the vast majority of members the co-ops were a place to living inexpensively plus the social aspect.
When we hosted the annual NASCO conference there was always a hard core group that insisted that to be a co-op you could have only natural unboxed foods and that you had to have certain politics.
The one area we failed in Ann Arbor was attracting Black students.
