@arstechnica Actually, eliminating humans from the payroll has been the plan since the Industrial Revolution. It’s true that machines are more efficient, but the challenge is to make this work in a Capitalist society where humans are depended upon to make purchases, tough to do when a majority become unemployed and keep your civilization from falling apart. 🤔 And it proves my point that capitalism is cannibalistic and self-destructive, and cannot prevail long-term.
