@futurebird Lived there for a while, in Sydney (which has Sydney Funnelweb spiders). We took large amounts of care every day to avoid them and the Redbacks (black widows), but never got bitten by anything. As others said, they weren't really interested in US.
DID get startled by how big a huntsman is. And how hard to kill a centipede in the bedroom can be!
