For everyone bent out of shape over Time Magazine naming Trump as the Person of the Year 2024, recall that in 1938 Time featured Hitler as Man of the Year.
I don't claim to have insight on what Time is thinking this time around. One notable difference is that in 1938, the magazine repeatedly clarified that its featuring of Hitler was not an endorsement, but rather was awarded to "the newsmaker who most influenced world events for better or worse.”
