If you own a vehicle, just a reminder to check the air in your tires if your car doesn't have those sensors to alert you when the pressure is low. I recently upgraded the rims and tires on my truck and then realized the other day the sensors no longer worked. After the most recent cold snap, I found the tires all had about half of the air they should have.

@briankrebs ideal gas laws in action right there! The same amount of air makes pressure at a lower temperature and constant volume.
@briankrebs boost for 12v tire inflator. Throw it in the trunk and you're good. I have a couple for racing, they are very easy to use. Many allow you to just set a certain pressure and it will [β¦]

I have a 2022 and have never had an issue with the accuracy of the TPMS sensors. I find the little "stick" gauges to be hard to use and read. When I need to adjust pressure, I [β¦]
@briankrebs And also verify that the sensor readouts match the tire positions.

I do not trust TPMs to start with, but a shame the shop kept your old ones, and probably sold or will sell for profit.
@briankrebs I have a tire pressure sensor and I still forget to pump up the tires π
@briankrebs Oddly, many consume air pressure testers are wildly inaccurate. This guy did an interesting test. Warning, his vocal patterns are... not ideal... but his test results and info is [β¦]
@briankrebs as a habit, I top up every two weeks. Having portable air pumps is awesome. Donβt need to rely on tpms even when thereβs one.
@briankrebs I just replaced 2 sensors in a 2012 vehicle at 170 bucks apiece. The other two will need replacing at some point, but thats when money is a little freer.
@briankrebs Air thieves! :o
