Is there a word for the digital squirreling involved in reading something in Apple News and trying to figure out the original URL by searching the headline online and then cutting and pasting the original story link into a virtual machine so I can see it in all its original glory?
German words are acceptable, too.

Most (not all) Apple News stories can be opened directly in the browser. This is the same for both iOS and macOS.

@briankrebs On iOS, press the share button and pick Open in Chrome. When Chrome says it wants to open the link in another application, click Donโt Allow.

@briankrebs I do something similar, but but in reverse. Often Iโll come across a pay walled article I want to read on the Internet. Then I search for it and read it in Apple News.
