@ajroach42 @manu Already by the early 2000s I longed for what online life was just 5-10 years earlier. Usenet was always chaotic, but there was one place for all the forums, rather than a bunch of individual phpbb or whatever. DejaNews was a nice thing for Usenet. Early advertising on the web was often seedy (maybe it is again? I use uBlock Origin). 3/
