Keyd is good for 99.9% of time spent though.
If you really flash a lot, keep your `/etc/keyd/default.conf` on a usb and copy it over.
It's less than 2 minutes of work.
One package, one file, one systemctl enable --now.
Sure, fw for the keyboard is better, but allocating budget on this, when so much cost cutting took place, is a mistake.
