@liske I didn't expect the hist to drop packets depending on the remote allowed IPs
I thought that the client would discard the received packets if the source did not match the allowed ips
2024-11-28 solene β RE: liske
@liske I can't use 0/0 in AllowedIPs as this breaks the LAN and I need it.
I'll check masquerading and SNAT, I haven't figuring how to proceed exactly though
2024-11-28 solene β 1π¬ β RE: liske
@liske no, the source IP is always the public IP of the client trying to connect

Damn, I don't understand.
I'm trying to setup a NAT over a VPN from a VPS I'm renting for its static IPv4 address, and I can't get it to work.

@pk84 what went wrong with Ubuntu and Elementary?
I recommend you to give a try to Endless OS, if you want something really simple and reliable, but it is limited for "advanced users"

@solene Looks like the `hw.perfpolicy` `sysctl` allows for having different policies for line power and battery power.

@ejim they do it this way as it make it easier for most users as they just have to remember a password
as for dovecot and GPG, just try to run GPG on 20 MB files and see how much CPU is used ;)

@izder456 ah yes, I forgot to reply to this.
Indeed, obsdfreqd will be obsolete, except if you want a fine grained control over the frequency (minimum, maximum, temperature control)
