but for now I'll be here. I discovered gemini by way of Gopher, and so far I like it. The clean text-based format and the simple, human-scaled design is great.
It's nice to see how well people are using gemini! I've found services set up by real people that mirror news articles, get the weather, and all kinds of other stuff. If I wasn't tethered to the Web by other things, I would seriously consider switching to primarily using gemini and gopher.

I used to have an account at ctrl-c.club a long time ago (in internet time, IRL it was like 4 yrs ago lol). I made a shitty webpage with shit opinions on it that I'm now embarrassed about. It's not up there anymore because I forgot that I had the account. I'm grateful to the admins at ctrl-c.club for deleting the page and disabling my old account. It was probably due to inactivity, but nonetheless I'm glad it's gone. To the admins: mea culpa, iartă-mă.
