Particularly, I want some reasonably low-cost system that can do a nice job of medium to high resolution color and black-and-white graphics, and can function as a terminal (24 lines by 80 columns, upper/lower case -- the smarter the better). I'd appreciate any advice, recommendations, hints, warnings, opinions, etc. that anyone could offer about any computer system, general purpose software, hardware cards, monitors, the whole bit. Currently my leanings are toward the Apple II, but I am open to any suggestion. I'm certain to buy something, and fairly soon, but I'd like to get the best arrangement I can the first time out. Thanks in advance, David Bryant cbosga!djb P.S: You people that have your own system, what kinds of graphics can it do??? ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
