I get them on cbosgd (several hops away) long before I hear them on the news. I don't know exactly how the net configuration looks these days, but I thought that the BTL sites that send news to ucbvax and duke sent it as soon as it came in, since they have dialers and don't have to wait for a poll. Thus, there is no reason why columbia news should be delayed more than a few hours in getting to dukgeri or ucla-s. If this is not the case, would someone from those sites please tell me what the typical routing path of articles they get is, so I can attempt to track down the delay.
