It is very handy to be able to do this, but it *does* have some drawbacks. One is that there is a finite number of such things that can be kept track of, so occasionally you lose track of the nth-back thing (the computer does, anyway - you may still remember it yourself); the other main drawback is that sometimes you *don't* want to keep track of everything you just did. You can't win, really.
