Since #4 is pretty useless if there is no way to set a group's password, I've also got a grppasswd program, just like passwd but for /etc/group. If you want the program run as a subshell, you can make a link to newgrp (e.g., "newgroup") which the shell will, of course, execute as a subprocess.
