Summary on the Vulgate e-text :
 
 1. free e-text is not FTP-able
    (OTA [Oxford Text Archive] holds one, but that is not disclosed to
    outsiders)
 
 2. a Vulgate e-text for Macintosh is sold by Linguist's software at a
    price of $59.95, which is based on the R.Weber's Deutsche Bibel-
    gesellschaft edition.  (Septuaginta/Hebraica/NT are also available).

    Bible e-texts and related softwares for DOS/Win3.x are available at :

    They cost ca. $50 -- $100. (NB:I have no affiliations with these firms)
 
 3. you can make a lexical search on Vulgate e-text by gopher on upenn.edu
    (try `xgopher ccat.sas.upenn.edu')
    This is tremendously useful, but may result in rather unwanted burden
    on lines, from outside US.
