The first one contains "the General and Permanent Laws of the United States, in Force on January 2, 1991." It installed fine, looks and works fine. However, the little accompany booklet states that the next edition is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 1993 and will include all federal statutes in force on January 2, 1992. So with it so close, you may wish to wait for the next more updated version. Of course $30 is pretty cheap. As the accompanying letter says the print version and annual supplement costs approximately $1200. Peggy Walker Margaret S. If you're having technical problems getting it installed, my guess would be that nobody at GPO will be able to help very much, they're just buying the software pretty much off the shelf from PLS. I think I would try PLS in Rockville, MD at 301-990-1155 (e-mail: pls@pls.com). The person I talked with was Deborah Senay, although she is an account representative and will probably have to refer you to a product support person.
