Newsgroups: alt.fan.monty-python From: blj@mayo.edu (Brian Johnson) Subject: Monty Python List Message-ID: <1993Jan13.230154.4126@bmw.mayo.edu> Organization: Mayo Clinic/Foundation Rochester MN Campus Date: Wed, 13 Jan 93 23:01:54 GMT Lines: 213 Well, after seeing the tremendous response to the movie list post, I was inspired to collect all the "RE:"s and collaborate them all into one file. I've also added new topics, such as books, music, and games, along with ratings and film lengths. I can imagine that a list like this has been created somewhere, but I have not yet come across one. If there is, please email me a copy so that I can compare it to this one. If you have more information you would like added to this list, email it to me as well. I will keep adding to it and repost it at a later date if there is a good response. Please include times, years, lengths, and any other pertainent information you have available. A few notes about what follows. Most of the information here I have veri- fied using a movie listing book which I purchased at a video store. It is by no means an authoritative source, since I have found a great number of typos and misspellings. However, it comes close. I've also downloaded a few lists on directors, actors, actresses, dead people (e.g. Chapman), and cinematographers. The listings here only gave titles; no years, times, etc. Since my book is from America, the only formats listed are Beta, VHS, LV (laser video), and 8mm; NTSC only. If those of you around the world want to add items, please include the broadcast standard as well (e.g. PAL). Also, my book ends circa 1990, so any information you have (1990 or later) will be greatly appreciated! :-) I have used the following formats and conventions: Name (year) [rating, blank if none] length (in minutes)/C=color, B=B&White Monty Python member or associate's name &(means starred as well as...) [D=directed, W=wrote or co-wrote] B=Beta, V=VHS, S=SVHS, L=Laser Video, 8=8mm C=Compact Disc, T=Cassette tape, A=Album or LP, D=DAT --> This signifies comments and questions I have concerning what was posted. * This was a post I wasn't able to verify with either my book or movie file.
