Fare is an amazingly productive Common Lisp coder (although lately he may have switched to some sort of Scheme). For years Fare has acted as the maintainer of ASDF, the Common Lisp build system, and is responsible for several major rewrites thereof. Every CL installation uses ASDF, so it's safe to say that Fare's wise words should not be ignored.
