Google, I think we need a little talk …

So I came across “What Colour are your bits? [1]” for the n^th time, and I thought I might link to it, but I want to make sure I haven't linked to it before. So I do what I usually do and try a Google search [2]. Nothing comes up. But hold on—it's “colour,” not “color” so let me try that [3] and even less comes up.

By now, I'm sure I have linked to that article before. A somewhat-quick-but-not-entirely-quick search locally on my server revealed that yes, I did link to that article [4].

Okay Google [5], what gives? You index everything pretty much instantaneously. I use you pretty much all the time to search my blog [6]. And you can't find a single entry with an exact phrase? Are you just having a bad day?

And now I'm curious—what if I tried … oh … I don't know … **BING [7]?**

Well, I didn't expect this [8]—first result, exactly what I wanted to find. Well, Google?
