It's because of this nonsense that I run my own server

It appears that LiveJournal [1] is at it [2] again [3] (link via Instapundit [4]), only this time, your account could be suspended for linking to sites that violate LiveJournal's Terms of Service [5]. This is especially onerous if a page you linked to changes since it was linked to (say, the domain being linked to expired, and was picked up by a porn site, which sadly, is a common occurance).

I've read through LiveJournal's Terms of Service [6] and even their FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) [7] and I can't find anything that purports to support this allegation but given some of the weasly answers LiveJournal has given [8], they don't come across that well. LiveJournal appears to not grasp the principles of “public relations” at all [9].

But make of this what you will; act accordingly.
