I looked over to see who you are. It seems you have been making a serious critique for awhile, so I apologize. Can you give me an example of your biggest complaint against him? You call him a "New Atheist?" How does that impact Buddhism?

I wouldn't take any of his word. He leans on "amateur experts" and such. He's on a crusade. The real question is, how does one's peers and colleges in their field respond and feel. Fact is, he's been given some very prestigious positions by those in his field.

Perhaps your podcast would be rigorous and accurate. Perhaps not. In any case it's a bad idea to compare yourself to Tyson.
I'm a space enthusiast. A great deal of my blog is devoted to ways to avoid large delta V budgets and thus avoid a big exponent in the rocket equation. So the piece of Neil's bad science that angers me the most is his claim that rocket propellant goes exponentially with payload mass.
I'm also a Catholic. Neil has a number of anecdotes to support his claim that religious belief stifles innovation in science. And all of these anecdotes are entertaining yarns Neil has crafted without bothering to do the research and legwork to make them accurate.
Tyson's false accusation against Newton makes me very angry.

It looks the stuff that is born of fame addiction. Offering an unsought answer because you replied to yourself.
