Hello all. I started a project about a year ago which on paper excited people but never has really taken off despite considerable time, effort and flexibility in implementation. I would like any advice you can offer because I would really like to resuscitate it.
In a nutshell, I have a website - http://www.postcardsfromyouth.com[1] - where youth from around the world can submit a single photo plus a short description or story that tells others about what it is like to be a teen in their situation. One on one, even teens are interested. The best photo-words combination will be included in a book to be published once there are enough submissions. I have seek submissions from teens in a variety of places from the biggies (Facebook and Flickr) to little ones such as teen groups. My most active participants are those in the former Soviet Union but even they stopped coming once I stopped paying for advertisements. Knowing that a better way is to approach organizations who work with teens, I tried that... 100s of orgs... and got nearly perfect silence. Those who did reply ended up doing nothing.

Any advice how to get the ball rolling?
Thanks

Try setting up a group to make that work in your high school. Speak with teachers. Reach out, don't be afraid to ask for help. I'm not sure wheter or not organizations will be there for you, since they have many other projects to focus on. But if you want to keep trying, check out Junior Achievement. Maybe they'll be able to help if you contact them.
Good luck!
