Hopefully that's accurate, but we'll have to wait and see. What my concern is, once they do acquire these supposed jets from Poland, is Ukraine's internal communication effective enough for them not to down their own aircraft? It seems everyone and their grandmother is packing some sort of AA arms.

It's not like the Ukrainians have not already been using planes, they're just running low. And I imagine stingers and such aren't just being given to any old sod.

well nato planes and nato rockets should work out, at least stingers have automated friendly fire prevention (IFF). not sure if the other missle types have it too.
