I made a mistake by not selling when I was up $6,000. This was the money I invested from the SPY put I traded on Friday, and I was up again by $6,000. I thought the price would drop further after JP’s speech. What should I do? Should I wait or sell when the market opens on Monday?

Selling at open obv depends on what the market opens at on monday, your only real option is to ride it out and hope monday is a blood bath. In the future, esp with the volatility weve been seeing, if you see consolidation forming, consider selling, and if you see the reversal, dump the position. Weve all been there, lesson learned (hopefully)

I learned my lesson Friday - don’t be greedy. I’ve set a rule for myself if I go up 20% I’m tapping out on these short plays. Lost everything in the tally Friday afternoon

Wait till Monday.. Canada announced tariffs on electricity to US taking effect on Monday. 🥭 Just said 250% tariff on canada starting immediately. As long as there is no positive news, its set to go down after the usual morning rise in the first 30 minutes.
